Research Sessions

Abstracts of translational research that demonstrate a direct link to the Congress theme Global Diversity through Research, Education and Evidence-Based Practice are invited.

Research sessions will serve as a networking forum to bring together researchers, educators, administrators, clinicians and policy makers to address the global health of the world’s people. Through the presentation of research findings, nurses can further the scholarship and healthcare of the populations of the world.

Selection Criteria

Submissions will be rated on the following:
  • Overall Quality
  • Contribution to Scholarship
    • Problem and significance of study are clearly expressed
    • Purpose/aim of the study is clearly expressed
    • Conceptual or theoretical framework is clearly stated and flows logically from the problem and purpose
    • Methodology is rigorous and design is congruent with purpose and framework
    • Data analysis is congruent with study design and methodology
    • Findings/conclusions have clear implications for nursing science, patient outcomes, nursing practice, education, administration, leadership, and /or policy making
    • Study demonstrates a high level of scholarship
  • Impact of the Abstract
    • Relevance to STTI’s mission, vision, and values
    • Content supports convention themes and objectives
    • Content is innovative and original

  • Abstract (300 words in length), organized into 4 sections with the following headings required:

    • Methods
    • Results
    • Conclusion

    Symposium (75 minutes)
