Transformational leaders change the organizational culture. They do this by establishing individual and organizational accountability. Transformational leaders create cultures of collaboration. According to Rosen, “collaboration involves working together to create value while sharing virtual or physical space.” The presenter will provide examples of collaboration and use the ten measures of success that are typically present when collaboration exists. They include: trust, sharing, goals, innovation, environment, collaborative chaos, constructive confrontation, communication, community and value. Specific tools for building a culture of accountability and examples of best practices from both education and practice settings will be used to assist the learner in understanding the steps needed for the change process. The presenter will also use Studer’s nine principles for building a solid foundation to illustrate a variety of innovative strategies used by transformational leaders to achieve excellence and desired results.
