Transformational leaders are committed to sustainability and recognize the importance of succession planning. They provide mentoring and coaching and understand how to build communities of catalysts for change. Using the four principles espoused by  Tapscott and Williams in Wikinomics:   How Mass Collaboration Changes Everything, 2006, the presenter discusses innovative strategies that can be used by nurses and others to develop new paradigms, communities of interest and manage change.  Examples of best practices based on openness, peering, sharing and acting globally will be offered as part of the discussion.    In addition, stories from nurses from Magnet designated hospitals reflecting how they have developed, disseminated and enculturated best practices will be shared.
