PLEN I Leading Globally: The 2007-2009 Presidential Call and State of the Society

Description/Overview: This session will provide an overview of initiatives begun/actions taken in achieving the goals of Leading Globally, the 2007-2009 Presidential Call, during the past biennium. Progress in achieving the following four key goals outlined in teh presidential call will be discussed: 1) the need for the International Honor Society of Nursing (STTI) and its members to be "intentially global," 2) the need for STTI to continue to buid its knowledge resources, 3) the need to further develop the leadership skills of our membership, ad 4) the ned for greater emphasis on service as a means of achieving the mission and vision of STTI.
Learner Objective #1: describe at least five initiatives begun/actions taken at the intenational level during the 2007-2009 biennium to achievthe four key goals outlines in Leading Globally.
Learner Objective #2: identify strategies members and chapters can undertake to be "intentionally global," to be a thought leader in knowledge creation and leadership development, and to promote service to others.
