The purpose of this presentation is to describe the experiences of Gamma chapter in the development and implementation of a Leadership Intern Program to provide a systematic approach for leadership succession. The Gamma board initiated a Leadership Intern Program in the fall of 2007. The Leadership Intern Program was designed to increase involvement of new, younger members, and to mentor future chapter leaders.  The Leadership Intern Program promotes excellence in leadership practices by supporting interns to create and develop activities and initiatives that impact chapter members, potential chapter members, and the community.
