The sample size consisted of 50 adolescent school girls. The SIM consisted of a brief on dysmenorrhea and its various aspects of management. A Pre test post test control group design was used, the base measure was a structured knowledge questionnaire. Mean, Standard Deviation and ‘t’ test were used to determine the significance of the knowledge scores of the adolescent school girls. The Study proved to be effective by the evidence of the pre test and post test analysis as the results stated the over all knowledge values according to statistical sinificance showed to be:- Pretest: Mean-13.16, SD-3.23; Post Test: Mean-19.36, SD:4.12; Significant at 5% level for 49 df (i.e. P<0.05) paired 't' value was 6.75*
Not just basic modules such as Self instructional module but many aspects of informative means could be used according to the relevance and focus of topics.
