Climbing Mount Everest: Reaching the Summit

The purpose of the EBP Summits was three-fold. This session will discuss the activities of the summit held with nurses from Latin America as well as the outcome of this collaborative partnership.  Lessons learned from this Pan- American collaborative experience also will be shared and recommendations for fostering success to actualize evidence-based healthcare worldwide will be outlined.

Objectives:

1)      Discuss how the building of Pan- American collaborative infrastructure can provide a vehicle for professional nursing success in actualizing evidence-based healthcare worldwide.

2)      Describe lessons learned and recommendations to advance EBP globally through an international collaboration.
