Considering the findings of the Institute of Medicine and the need to prepare providers to meet the needs of patients engaging in a complex healthcare system, the Arizona State University (ASU) Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) curriculum was designed to develop skillful evidence-based clinicians who will shape the fabric of healthcare through the evidence-based practice (EBP) paradigm. With EBP as the foundational construct for their education, DNPs are prepared to significantly impact health and healthcare through their ability to successfully translate research into practice. This session will focus on building the case for preparing evidence-based DNPs who are uniquely skilled in leading systems in sustainable change toward best outcomes.
