Learning Objective 1: The learner will be able to understand level of moral behaviors among students in Thailand.

Learning Objective 2: The learner will be able to understand relationship among predisposing factor, enabling factors, and reinforcing factors and moral behaviors among students in Thailand.

This research explored  factors related to moral behaviors among Pratom 5th-6th students in Rattanakosin school group, Bangkok Metropolitan. The group comprised 400 students age 10-14 years old. PRECEDE  Model was used as the framework. Kohlberg’s model behavior was applied as the standard of moral behavior in students. Data were collected  by using self-administered questionnaires. Statistics for data analysis were frequency, percentage, mean, mode, standard deviation, chi-squre, and Pearson’s Product Moment Correlation Coefficient.

                Results showed 400 students who participated in this study were 193 boys (48.25%) and 207 girls (51.75 %). Most students in this study had standard of moral behavior (81.25%), 1.25% were at high level of moral behavior, and 17.5 % were at low level of moral behavior. As for relationship, predisposing factor including attitude toward moral behavior was significantly related to moral behaviors (r = 0.480, p – value < 0.001). Enabling factors including  parenting style and family relationship  were significantly related to moral behaviors (c2= 20.301, p – value < 0.01 and r = 0.216,

 p – value < 0.01).  Participating in moral activities and good behaviors recording  were significantly related to moral behaviors (c2 =12.592, p – value = .013, c2 = 13.973, p – value = .007). Participating in moral activity in community was significantly associated with moral behavior (c2 = 9.959, p – value .041). Reinforcing factors including guardian support, teacher support, peer support, and multimedia support were significantly related to moral behaviors (c2 = 17.101,  p – value = .004,

c2 = 15.392, p – value = .008, c2 = 23.651, p – value  <.001, c2 = 9.033, p – value =  .002, respectively).

                The findings suggest  the moral activities should be provide for children at school, home, and community according to the factors related to moral behaviors.
