Purpose: This study was done to evaluate the effect of a preventive home care program for community dwelling frail elders in Korea. This program was developed to improve physical and cognition function and to decrease depression. Method: The study design was one group pretest-posttest quasi-experimental research to evaluate the effect of a preventive home care program frail elders. The program composed of physical exercise, education for all and osteoporosis prevention, training for cognitive enhancement, and emotional support. Total 242 frail elders participated the program in Seoul, Korea for 8weeks. Results: The participants significantly improved the function of time up & go, stepping on the srairs, and walking after the application of preventive home care program. The participants also reported that the pain was reduced and the level of cognition function and depression were improvedl. Conclusion: The findings indicate that the preventive home care program was effective to improve the physical, emotional and cognitive funtion for community-dwelling frail elders. Therefore, it  could be helpful to improve the health of the frail elders integratively and to maintain their remained function.
