Learning Objective 1: Describe the GRACE© Model of Care in an assisted livng setting
Learning Objective 2: Identify areas of focus in their own practice where GRACE could possibly enhance the quality of life for the older adults
Leading an inter-professional team through the development of the GRACE© Model, I have identified areas of growth in my own personal leadership development. First is to gain self-confidence in my insight and ability to challenge information I do not embrace. Through the GNLA, I have developed tools that allow me to feel secure in my instincts and value my own beliefs. Second, is to harness my passion in an effective way to support my leadership journey. This is an ongoing goal that I have been developing through self-reflection, meditation, nurturing relationships and active listening. Third is to enhance self-confidence and develop my public speaking skills to all audiences. Through practice and self-evaluation, I have been able to confidently speak publicly with local civic groups, Culture Change Coalition/Lane Group, and the Ombudsman of Maine.
