D 17 Pedagogical Principles in Professional Online Education in Global Health

Description/Overview: This symposium will discuss innovative and value driven strategies for online learning. It will provide an overview of the current field of online programs offered to nurses globally and focus on selected examples of successes of partnerships from Armenia and the US. In addition, the discussion will highlight how to evaluate readiness of the learner for online programs and how organizations can provide support in the planning and decision making process. The presenters will highlight global leading practices and outcomes in online learning programs.
Learner Objective #1: Identify three principles of online learning excellence that fosters ease of use, engages the learner in innovative approaches and ensures quality of learning outcomes.
Learner Objective #2: Develop complimentary and supportive relationships for self improvement and innovation that maximizes reource utilization, alignment with curriculum and provides feedback to faculty and peers.
