D 12 SPECIAL SESSION: A Six-Phased Approach: Connecting Your School of Nursing to STTI Through a Chapter

Description/Overview: The session will provide an overview of the honor society and chapter development process highlighting the six phased approach STTI staff will implement to provide increased support and training to your group during this process. Information on the benefits of having a chapter, the chapter model options of chapter formation, suggested tasks to be completed during each developmental phase, and amending an existing chapter’s charter to include other schools of nursing will also be discussed. STTI staff will be on hand to answer specific questions about the process and how it applies to various nursing education systems.
Learner Objective #1: The learner will be able to describe STTI’s chapter development process including the six phased approach STTI staff will implement to provide increased support.
Learner Objective #2: The learner will become aware of the honor society and chapter development tools & resources available, including staff consultation and support.
