Description/Overview: The future of nursing depends on excellence role models who can serve as teachers, guides and mentors. Teaching and Learning in Nursing is both a science and an art. In this presentation, two distinguished Nurse Educators will share their experience and invite dialogue and interaction among participants for the purpose of exploring the rewards, challenges, and responsibilties, as well as challenges and resources available to those who aspire to become involved in the teaching and learning of next generation nurses.
Learner Objective #1: Explore the roles, responsibilities, rewards and challenges associated with teaching and learning in the nursing profession.
Learner Objective #2: Create an aspirational goal and developmental plan for pursing a teaching ~learning role in nursing education, practice or resarch.
