Description/Overview: This workshop will address a variety of ways to build a case ofr practicing research in a health care setting. The opening session will allow authors of an EBP implementation book to discuss how their model has helped to elevate research and publishing that research in their health care setting. The tools around submitting a successful abstract or a grant proposal will be discussed in a concurrent session as well as details on submitting a book proposal and the details on publishing a book and submitting and writing an article for a journal.
Learner Objective #1: to better understand the details of publishing a book or an article in a journal and the impact of publishing on evidence-based practice.
Learner Objective #2: to understand various issues when writing a successful abstract or in submitting a grant proposal.
