This health promotion/disease management presentation will showcase the role of nursing and the impact nursing has to promote smoking cessation. Hospital admissions/smokers are targeted for smoking cessation,. Nursing determines the patient's smoking habit and nicotine addiction upon admission,during the initial nursing assessment.During the in-patient stay nicotine replacement/anxiety is managed Patients'are treated with combination nicotine replacement and smoking cessation counselling/referral.
