Learning Objective #1: Identify issues surrounding the nursing shortage |
Learning Objective #2: Identify strategies to alleviate the nursing shortage |
Greta Sherman, senior vice president for Healthcare Strategic Planning, TMP Worldwide (Monster.com) will speak about major health care reform, including solutions for the nursing shortage, generational differences, economic factors, workplace redesign and nurse renewal.
In fall 2003, NurseWeek called Sherman one of the people "who ultimately will turn around the nursing shortage." The article praised Sherman for being among those "geniuses of marketing and advertising programs, who are polishing nursing and selling it to teens, those considering second or third careers and nurses themselves."
