Special Session: Planning an Active Retirement
Learning Objective #1: Participants will learn about this life transition from a panel of honor society members. The discussion will cover travel, volunteering, financial planning and much more.
Learning Objective #2: Participants will be provided the opportunity to share their questions, stories and plans for retirement while learning how others have navigated and plan to navigate this transition.
Facilitated by former honor society president Dr. Billye Brown, this interactive session will give participants the chance to hear how their peers have managed this life transition, and what considerations exist in planning for retirement. Among some of the topics covered will be financial/estate planning, travel, volunteer opportunities, keeping up-to-date in nursing, and internet use, among others. Bring your questions, your thoughts, and your perspective on retirement for a lively and interactive discussion.
