This session will delineate the nine fundamental elements present in the best places to practice and the best places to receive care. The participants will have the opportunity to carry out an assessment of the strengths of the following elements that have been identified by hundreds of clinicians from over 100 rural, community and university settings as essential to create and sustain the best places to practice and receive care: shared purpose, dialogue, partnering relationships, clarity on scope of practice, competency, integrated competency, partnership council infrastructure and evidence based tools and resources. Each of the elements will be defined and the nature of the work necessary to assure their presence will be shared. The stories and outcomes of strenthening the presence of each element on the culture and practice within multiple diverse clincal setting will be explored.
