Carolyn Spence Cagle, PhD, RNC, Harris School of Nursing, TCU - College of Health and Human Sciences, Fort Worth, TX, USA and Susan D. Mattson, RNC, CTN, PhD, FAAN, College of Nursing, Arizona State University, Tempe, AZ, USA.
Learning Objective #1: list four ways to integrate the faculty role into a teacher-scholar model through a mentoring process |
Learning Objective #2: identify at least two mentee-mentor shared cross-cultural research interests used to contribute to the discovery of nursing knowledge |
The purpose of this poster will be to provide an overview of activities completed by the mentee (Carolyn Spence Cagle) during her 2004 Chiron Fellowship. These activities, involving a variety of pedagogical, service, and research projects, have strengthened the mentee's illustation of a teacher-scholar model. This model, based on the mission statement of the mentee's employing institution, supports faculty activities aimed at improving faculty responsiveness to knowledge generation for community improvement
