Learning Objective 1: Explore the benefits of a mentorship program for nursing students.

Learning Objective 2: Differentiate the relationship of senior(mentor) and sophomore (protege) nursing students within mentorship.

Mentorship is an integral part of nursing. The benefits and limitations of a student mentorship program between Baccalaureate senior and sophomore nursing students will be explored. Senior nursing students gained knowledge of their role as an expert to sophomore novice students. Both groups found the mentoring program beneficial. Expansion of the program to other student cohorts will be considered.
