CLOS PLEN CLOSING PLENARY: Leadership Strategies for Encouraging and Creating Healthy Work Environments

Description/Overview: Healthy work environments positively impact employee retention levels, productivity, and job satisfaction. Employers and their leadership team then are compelled to encourage and create work cultures which foster civility and mutual respect, open lines of communication, reasonable workloads, and worker empowerment. Authentic nurse leaders play a critical role in creating these positive work cultures. This presentation will identify ten leadership strategies employers and nurse leaders can use to encourage and create healthy work environments.
Learner Objective #1: Identify at least three strategies employers and nurse leaders can use to foster healthy work environments.
Learner Objective #2: Identify at least three personal strategies he/she could use to encourage or create a positive work culture in the organization in which they are employed.
