Introduction:

Research is needed to progress in every profession such as nursing. It is important to pay attention to role of nurses in continuation of research which researches and who use the result of researches are in two side of the line. Nurses should be share on every level and every service. So far increased client satisfaction, professional satisfaction, and improvement of care .The tendency of nurses to do and participate in researches has been increased recently, but it's necessary to attention or emphasis on method and strategy accessing and then utilization which it is dependent on knowledge and skill such as how to research, evaluate and review the valid and related articles.

Methods:

It is a descriptive, cross- sectional study. Determine of quantity of researches & scientific articles studied or used by nurses in practice and to evaluation of their opinion on information technology program on this issue were the aims of this study. The study included of 50 nurses which selected randomly. Data was gathered by a questionnaire consisted of demographic data and questions about research which was completed by self reporting.

Results:

Mean age of nurses was 31.28±5.52. Most of them were female (67.9%).67.5% were married and 80.4% had bachelor sciences. Mean of record of service was 8.04±5.63 years and 82.9% were staff nurses. According to nurses opinion, 8% of them read research article and only 2% used it in practice. Eleven percent of nurses passed course or workshop of research but only 5% participated in research or collaborator. Participation in information technology program leads to read or used more scientific article in 18% of nurse's .However the more nurses used email.

Conclusion:

Nurses utilizations of research wasn't satisfied that needs to intervention to increase of reader & research user .It is needed to establish courses or workshop of research for improvements nursing staff for utilization, cite & evaluation researches. Also IT program must be continued from the first general level to specific for nursing knowledge.
