Purpose: Nursing and medical curricula have conventionally emphasized the development of technical and practical levels of knowledge of students. These curricula tend to focus on problem solving and secondary prevention. However, more attention should be paid to primary prevention. Cancer is top ranked cause of mortality in Korea. Health care professionals should be practical cancer prevention educators. The purpose of this study was to identify the level of knowledge, attitude, and self-efficacy about testis and breast self-examination (TSE and BSE) among medical and nursing college students. Method: A cross-sectional survey design was utilized. Using convenience sampling, 400 nursing and medical students were selected. Knowledge was measured with a dichotomy scale of 25items. To measure attitude and self- efficacy, 4-point Likert scales of 20 items and 10 items respectively were used. Finding: None to report at time of abstract submission. Data analysis is on-going with SPSS. Conclusions and Implications: This study will identify the level of knowledge, attitude and self-efficacy among nursing and medical students. This result will be reflected in developing TSE and BSE education programs for nursing and medical college students.
