Methods: We used Safety Attitudes Questionnaire-hospital version developed by Dr. Sexton to realize the effects among the nurses 'patient safety reporting and to understand patient safety attitudes of patient safety among different hospitals. The objects of the research were nurses working in Medical Centers .
Results: two hundred thirty-five surveys were included in the analyses. Cronbach's alpha ranged from 0.76 to 0.88 for the scales: safety climate, perceptions of management, job satisfaction, working conditions and stress recognition. Hospital is a important factor of patient safety reporting . Older nurses have more positive attitudes about patient safety. Nurses who are in managerial positions have better attitude toward safety cultures. Nurses tend to answer conservatively when they face the questions regarding medical error events or related adverse issues. Although it is known that no punishment will be issued as well as how to report medical error events, still few nurses use the reporting system, because they afraid that colleague known who use the reporting system . The manager's positive attitudes is a important factor of patient safety reporting .
Conclusions: According to the results of this study, some suggestions are drawn as follows: (1).Establish the accountability culture of patient safety.(2).Establish the investigation system of patient safety reporting.(3). Establish learning organizations to obtain experiences from medical error events.(4). Build up open communication way to discuss.(5).Use questionnaires in the right time.
