The purpose of this study was to compare the volume of breast milk within 48 hours post partum period between the groups of mothers with and without whole milk supplement. The sample were 60 lactating women who had normal delivery and healthy infants were deviced into 2 groups ,control and study group. The control group was 30 control group mothers who did not receive whole milk supplement and the study group was the mother who received 200 cc. whole milk every 4 hours for 5 times a day by independent t-test.The results of this study revealed that after receiving additional whole milk, the mean score of breast milk volume in the experimental group increased significantly increased at the 0.05 level; and the mean score of the breast milk volume of the women in the experimental group was significantly higher than that of the women in the control group at the 0.05 level. Based on the result of the study, it is recommened that adding whole milk to lactation women should be include in breast feeding promotion policy.
