The main purpose of this research is to explore the disease experiences of ovarian cancer patients through oral history. In this research, we could realize the course of the disease from the patient's viewpoint. From the results, firstly, we found that the patients tried to look for the source of the disease from obscure symptom, and subjected to following ruthless medical system and underwent surgical operation. After that, entered body and mind restore period, digested information and studied the way to coexist with disease. Secondly, appropriate support is necessary to adapt the disease. Family members have to accompany the patient during the illness course, and make patient's heart full of power to face the disease by way of positive attitude, care and love. Thirdly, the patient always needed to filter information in plenty of alternative medicines, tried and errors, with continuous learning, finally found the suitable way. Fourth, after the baptism of the disease, the patients realized what is the most precious gift of life. Afterwards, patient's soul calmed down and accepted everything, then faced death with serene and quiet.
It is suggested that more diseases oral history research should be conducted. In the future, we hope that more people join in the research field of gynecology as well. Finally, establish the support group of gynecology, to give the patients and their families directly and timely support.
