Learning Objective #1: become more familiar with Sharable Content Objects Reference Models (SCORMs) and its potential in global e-learning environments
Learning Objective #2: appreciate the process of developing global e-learning modules as SCORMs

The advent of e-learning in nursing education produces various ways to actively engaged students in global learning environments. One of these innovations is the use of Sharable Content Object Reference Model (SCORM) in on-line classrooms. SCORMs make communications between students and teachers about the course materials more dynamic and defined wherever and whenever they are in the “classroom”. Students are actively engaged in their learning while teachers are becoming more satisfied about their “classroom” involvement. In this presentation, the development of learning modules as SCORMs and its utilization in on-line classrooms will be elucidated. Student and faculty feedback about the utilization of SCORMs will be presented. Further research questions will be discussed.
