WORKSHOP: Dreyfus Health Foundation's Problem Solving for Better Health-Nursing
Learning Objective #1: understand the Problem Solving for Better Health-Nursing methodology and its practical application implemented in 14 countries.
Learning Objective #2: identify a local health problem or nursing workforce issue relative to their work environment and create a potential solution.
A Problem Solving for Better Health-Nursing Workshop will be conducted in this session. An introduction to the program and description of the five-step problem solving process will be provided during the workshop. Country examples from nurse leaders who have participated in prior workshops and successfully completed their projects will be presented. Applications of the program in several academic settings will be described. Methods of evaluation by project and program will be discussed and there will be a session on sustainability and the potential for scaling up of successful project initiatives. Project budgeting will also be covered emphasizing the use of available local resources for project implementation.
