Work Efficiency of On-Job Education Nurses

Learning Objective 1: The purpose of this report was to evaluate working efficiency for on-job education nurses.

Learning Objective 2: The learner will be able to help on-job education nurses and administrative personnel to better understand the work efficiency .

The purpose of this report was to evaluate working efficiency for on-job education nurses. Subjects were on-job education nurses and their supervisors obtained from a medical center in Taipei. A total of 193 effective qualitative surveys were collected. Tools used in the study included subject basic information and their working efficiency chart. The study found following results (1) In five categories, subjects with following characters obtained high scores, subjects were able to carry out all the technical skills caring patients; in terms was subjects were able to maintain honesty and follow orders fulfilling their job responsibilities; terms of the subjects scored high of subjects were able to demonstrate basic nursing knowledge professionalism; subjects were able to effectively help and serve the patients communication and negotiation; in terms of subjects were willing to efficiently complete numerous tasks and management skills. (2) Variants that affected work efficiency included marriage, children, job positions, salary, family supporting extent of on-job education programs. (3) There were significant differences between self-evaluation and supervisor - evaluation for work efficiency.(p<.05) (4) Variants that affected the working efficiency of on-job education nurses included job position, which explained the 9.5% value of total variable. The study results might help on-job education nurses and administrative personnel to better understand the work efficiency of such individuals, to establish an effectively communicative channel and develop a methodology for elevating the efficiency associated with on-job education nurses.
