Factors Influencing Quality of Life in Women with Urinary Incontinence in Southern Taiwan

Learning Objective 1: The learner will be able to understand quality of life in community women with urinary incontinence in sourthern of Taiwan.

Learning Objective 2: The learner will be able to understand the related factors of quality of life in community women with urinary incontinence.

Purpose: The purposes were to explore life of quality of incontinence women in the South of Taiwan.

Methods: The research is a cross-sectional investigation. The essential background questionnaire‚ WHOQOL-BREF in Taiwan‚ incontinence life of quality scale‚ and SEAPI were use in the research. The objects were students’ mothers in a vocational nursing school. To choice 8 classes in the school by random, and there were 396 students in the study. There were 314(79.3%) questionnaires to be got.

Results: There were 314(79.3%) questionnaires to be got. There are 48 (15.3%) women in incontinence team, and 266 (84.7%) women in non- incontinence team. The life of quality of non- incontinence team was significant better then incontinence team, and the result of health life of quality, too. The ranks about dimensions of life of quality were social relationship, physiological health, environmental and an integral health, and psychological health. The regression analysis showed the obstruction of urination, using of pads, self- control of urination, integral life of quality, and menstrual condition were important predict factors. The R- square was 52.09%.

Conclusion: The result could be a reference for improves life of quality of community women.
