The Importance of a Clinical Practice Model to Achieve Evidence-Based Practice

This presentation will explore the fundamental factors identified within a consortium of rural community and university settings that are essential to implement and sustain evidence base practice at the point of care using  intentionally designed technology.  Each of the components of the Professional Practice Framework that guided the design of the technology used for the implementation of evidence based practice  will be reviewed and correlated to the strategies and decisions made within the practice/education partnership.  The review of the components  and the strategies found to strengthen them  within both the clinical and academic settings including  clarity on the essence of evidence-based practice, assuring the content integrated into technology is evidence based and maintained , differentiating between executable and referential content in the classroom and clinical areas will be discussed. The clinical and educational outcomes will be reviewed.
