Preparing Evidence-Based Doctorally-Prepared Nurse Practitioners to Engage the Changing Landscape of Healthcare

  1. Describe the infrastructure necessary to create an innovative curriculum designed to prepare an evidence-based DNP clinical expert.
  2. Discuss the challenges of the future of healthcare and how the evidence-based DNP clinical expert will be prepared to engage these challenges.
This session will present what is required to fully integrate evidence-based practice and innovation into the curriculum for evidence-based DNP clinical expert. The need for a transition from a focus of learning for simply academic endeavors to life-long engagement in learning will be discussed. The session will culminate in a discussion of the role of the evidence-based DNP clinical expert in providing innovative solutions for overcoming challenges that are on the horizon for healthcare.
