After examining the items, the questionnaire were distributed to patients who have admitted to a hospital at least three days. Four hundred and eighty two patients completed the questionnaire. Reliability and validity were tested.

Results: Internal consistency of this questionnaire was .89 (Cronbach's α). Factor analysis indicated that all nine items formed a factor which explained 72.49% of the variance. Factor loading for each item were above .40.

Conclusion: The reliability and validity of the Chinese version of Inpatient’s satisfaction with Nursing Care questionnaire were established. This questionnaire can be used to evaluate the quality of nursing care for patients with hospitalization nationwide.
