Learning Objective 1: to make a comparison between bottle and cup feeding when babies stay in the hospital, which is the best way.

Learning Objective 2: The learner will be able to know how to help mothers to chose the best way to feed human milk by other artificial ways.

Results:
There is other research indicating that newborns who are fed by bottle will experience more stimulates when sucking due to regulating the flow temple by themselves. However, newborns who are fed by cup will obtain high flow temple human milk. That will cause newborns prefer artificial feeding more than breastfeeding and may make them resist the flow temple of mothers’ breast which will reduce the root reflection of newborns.
A randomized control study and a breastfeeding research in England compared the effect between bottle-feeding and cup-feeding. In the research, the cases are full term babies, and it found that: Mothers tend to accept Feeding the human milk, rather than milk by cup-feeding, because it can maintain the time of secreting human milk and babies can’t refuse breastfeeding easily. But the research also shows that cup-feeding and bottle-feeding do not make any difference on the time of breastfeeding afterward. In 2006, there is a review research probing in to the correlation among bottle-feeding, cup-feeding and breastfeeding in Taiwan. It found that cup-feeding has higher breastfeeding rate after discharge, and cup-feeding also can reduce breathing hard due to over-swallowing when feeding. By cup-feeding, babies can have a more stable physiology status. The most important of all, health provider and parents who want to feeding babies by cups, especially for premature babies, must have to be trained.
Conclusion:
We suggest that babies who are fed by cup can lengthen the rate of breastfeeding after they are discharged from the hospital, and mothers tend to accept Feeding the human milk, rather than milk by cup-feeding, because it can maintain the time of secreting human milk and babies can’t refuse breastfeeding easily.
