The study objects included 85 new nurses. We had Quasi-experimental design study for collecting data, and used the mini-CEX authorized from ABIM, including seven parts of medical conversation, physical examination, humanity specialty, clinical judgment, patient instruction, organization effect, and overall eligibility, which was changed to conversation process, physical examination, clinical judgment, patient instruction, humanity specialty, organization ability and efficacy, and overall clinical skills by nurse department of specimen hospital
This study revealed as follow: 1) the professional ability of new nurses was best but clinical judgment was worst, but their clinical ability improved, especially for conversation and clinical judgment, after four times mini-CEX during 3 months; 2) the result of four times mini-CEX showed no difference during the nurse of different age and education. Based on study result, the researcher gave advise to medical institution.
The mini-CEX plan result of regarding recently the nursing staffs clinical ability promotion showed humanity specialized ability was recently best, clinical judgment ability is worst. The clinical ability change will not come under the personal background variable influence. Possible because personnel's background difference was not recently big, and the clinical ability's promotion, mainly educates before the personnel duty content and execution way related, however, in view of each kind of different background recently nursing staffs, must appraise its study demand properly, only then can achieve teaching of result satisfaction.
