J 04 SPECIAL SESSION: Home Parenteral Nutrition and Heart Failure Clinical Trials

Description/Overview: My presentation will be about contributions to imporve nursing via reasearch, mentorship, and use of technology into patient homes and for academic educaiton. I have 28 years of consecutive funding from 4 NIH institues. Our team research teams' interventions have used teleheath, internet and wireless techonologies to provide interdisciplinary care. The intervetnions have assisted family caregivers to prevent untoward effects of acute and chronic illness in their loved ones requiring complex care at home. Our outcomes data has been written into national regulations, presented at science forums/congressioanl panels and used in funded mentorships for faculty. The team has published in top notch health science and clinical jornals as well as in lay caregiver guides/textbooks.
