Central venous access devices (CVADs) provide a vital contribution to a child’s treatment, such as chemotherapy, nutrition and antibiotics. This presentation will summarize the effectiveness of strategies to reduce CVAD-associated harm, including infections and thrombosis. The presentation will concentrate on practical, cost-effective interventions which are pertinent across pediatric settings.
