In the US, there are almost 16,000 nursing homes across the country with approximately 1.5 million elderly residents living in them at any one time. Unfortunately, care is often suboptimal in these settings. An overview of a national mixed methods, interdisciplinary study aimed at identifying best practices will be presented.
