Personal health care has obtained increasing importatnce in the field of health care as the populations' age in the industrialised contries and resources available for health care remain limited. After the invention of digital set-top-box, television is expected to become one of the most popular information appliances. Personal health care through digital television is an exsiting possibility in the realisation of new types of services answering to this demand for increased personal action and responsibility in health care. This study is designed to suggest some ideas of an application of the data broadcasting via interactive digital TV for health care service for example, nursing management in the antepartal period. Firstly I present the trends of prevalence of digital TV in South Korea and the general infrastructure of digital TV and the different interactive service types of dirital TV. Finally, a program for pregnant woman is presented. For pregnant woman, It is needed special exercise, nutrition, fetus condition and problem management in emergency time. There is clearly great scope for digital TV in the provision of health-care advice in the futture. The increase in Internet use shows people's willingness to adapt to new technologies, and digital TV can provide richer content than a static web page. At the same time it has the potential to meet the needs of many people who do not, or cannot get information from others sources. But domestic industry og digital TV was suffering from the lack of manpower, finance, legal and administrative problem. To resolve those problems, this paper proposed the making the policy and financial assistance of government, the way of technical standardization and construction infrastructure, and the cultivating manpower.
