From the PI to the Periphery: Protecting All Participants in the Research Process

In practice, the farther from the principle investigator, the less the person may know about the research process. Staff nurses and other data collectors often have little information about their legal responsibilities in the research process. Collaborative agreements between researchers and data gathering sites often fail to adequately outline the responsibilities and liabilities of all involved. This presentation will focus on developing strong agreements that cover the legal obligations of all involved in the research process.
