Learning Objective 1: Understand methods to involve past, present, and future members to participate in chapter events.
Learning Objective 2: Discuss preparation for membership events and opportunities.
Membership is the heart and soul of all chapters. Recently, Iota Theta chapter at Troy University held a 25 year celebration. This event was held in conjunction with the annual Showcase of Research Excellence, induction of new members, and the induction of new officers. This presentation will highlight the event and provide rationale as to why stand-alone events were combined. Also, techniques involved in garnering the involvement of the membership will be discussed. This event was also utilized to recruit potential members to recognize the important of the Nursing Honor Society in the nursing profession.
