Learning Objective 1: The learner will be able to identify the benefits of participating in a formally arranged, 24-month mentored, fellowship.

Learning Objective 2: The learner will be able to discuss the strategic advantages of participating in a non-traditional continuing education program in order to elevate personal and professional leadership competencies and skills.

Nurses must possess a wide range of leadership skills to serve as creative change agents in the coming healthcare redesign and reform. Not all nurse can avail traditional continuing education venues in order to obtain the competencies necessary to collaborate in the new model. The STTI Board Leadership Development Program is one vechicle, which provides participants an enriched continuing education and mentored fellowship experience in order to elevate personal and professional effectiveness in collaborative environments.
