Learning Objective #1: Eestablish the standard protocol in early extubation protocol, provide the nursing care with a complete set of evaluation and procedures
Learning Objective #2: Establish care standards, to improve the quality of recovery nursing, and evaluate the effectiveness of the operation room

The purpose of this study is to establish the standard protocol in early extubation protocol,to provide the nursing care with a complete set of evaluation and procedures, to act out the measures of extubation, to effectively offer comfort to patients, to shorten the time for patients' staying in the recovery room, to accelerate the rate of using the operation room, to reduce the expenses of the hospital, and to raise the service quality in the hospital. In accordance with the related documents, all the researchers, anesthetists, chest physicians, as well as senior clinical nurse specialists have discussed and set both procedures and and standards of extubation for the recovery anesthesia patients. The extubation scale has been examined with dependability and reliability.Representative samples consist of the general anesthesia patients under operation in a medical center. The extubation scale ensures successful operations, the confidence in nursing the patients, and the time allotment of extubation saved. The results of the evaluations of the extubation include eight items of conscious conditions, respiratory conditions, heart-beat conditions, blood-pressure conditions, oxygenation conditions, reflection conditions, respiratory muscle strength, and body temperatures. Each item of the extubation scale has been evaluated by Cronbach's Alpha Coefficient , and the alpha coefficient was 0.89 respectively. The criteria of extuabion has been systematically set to help the nursing department to establish care standards, to know the strengths and weakness , to improve the quality of recovery nursing , and to evaluate the effectiveness of the operation room.
