Summary: A interprofessional academic-practice model will be described. The barriers encountered and methods to overcome them will be discussed. The model involved nursing and multiple allied health professional students in various primary healthcare clinical settings. The student teams were led by interprofessional faculty coaches who facilitated teamwork and collaboration.
