Nelda Godfrey, PhD, APRN, BC, Department of Nursing, William Jewell College, Liberty, MO, USA
Learning Objective #1: describe the aims and outcomes of an integrated five-semester leadership development course of study embedded in a liberal arts baccalaureate nursing program.
Learning Objective #2: discuss developmental perspectives in evaluating the Leadership for the Common Good program during the program and post graduation.

Leadership For the Common Good is a five-semester, integrated, academic and experiential course of study embedded in a baccalaureate nursing program.  This evaluative research includes data from students immediately after taking the first course in the fall of the junior year, senior exit assessment findings, and results of graduate surveys 1-5 years post graduation. Informational interviews with graduates’ managers and chief nursing executives provide additional insight regarding the personal and professional outcomes of this unique leadership development program.
