Sustainable change is what will transform healthcare as we know it. Every educator hopes that their investment in students will reap a lifetime of benefits. This session focuses on the analysis and interpretation of outcome data for this multi-year study. Student outcomes will be presented across time, with a focus on sustainable change. Students are required to write PICOT questions, search for evidence, appraise and synthesis studies and plan evidence-based implementations while in school. The outcomes of this study emphasize the importance of evaluating student responses across their years in school AND after graduation. Changes in students' beliefs about and implementation of EBP will be discussed as well as knowledge of EBP principles. This session will culminate in implications from this study for nursing educators who want to see EBP as the basis for daily decision-making at the point of care.
The learner will be able to:
Describe the impact of integration of EBP across an undergraduate curriculum.
Discuss the implications of sustainable change toward EBP in daily decision-making at the point of care.
