E 14 SPECIAL SESSION: The IOM Report on "The Future of Nursing": Leading Change, Advancing Health-One Year Later

Description/Overview: This session will preview an overview of the IOM Report, The Future of Nursing: Leading Change, Advancing Health, including the genesis of the report, key findings and recommendations included in the report. This session will also discuss the key activities and actions taken to implement the recommendations since the report's release in October 2010. Discussion will include the current and potential impact of the IOM report recommendations within various practice settings.
Learner Objective #1: understand the genesis of the IOM Report on The Future of Nursing: Leading Change, Advancing Health and understand the recommendations of the report.
Learner Objective #2: discuss how the report recommendations may affect them in their practice setting and the actions taken since the report was released to achieve the recommendations.
