Presented will be the process faculty underwent in preparing for professional accreditation and developing a more meaningful assessment plan. During this journey the faculty constructed an assessment plan connecting best practice and curriculum to student outcomes. The task of identifying the relationships of course objectives to level outcomes, developing criteria and standards to assess student work for effectiveness, and identifying a standard for program quality will be described. The assessment plan process moved from assessing end of program outcomes to a more comprehensive look at assessment of student learning and student and faculty outcomes throughout the graduate and undergraduate programs.
