Description/Overview: This session will provide an overview of the United Nations, STTI activities at the U.N., discuss the millennium develpment goals, and identify ways that chapters and individual members can be involved in U.N. and global health initiatives.
Learner Objective #1: Discuss the U.N. Millennium Development Goals, NGO's at the U.N., and the importance of ECOSOC status.
Learner Objective #2: Identify ways for STTI Chapters to be involved in U.N. activities.
